Our Ethos

A cohousing of 4, hosted by the owner — yes, I live here too, which means this place is genuinely cared for. Curious about who you'll be sharing the flat with? Meet me below.

Three private rooms, one great address in Saint-Gilles, and a shared space where different backgrounds, cultures, and stories come together.

At Oaq, we believe a good home starts with good people — so inclusivity and mutual respect aren't just nice words here, they're how we actually live.

If you're looking for more than just a room, you're in the right place.

Fresh Brussels Sprouts

WELCOME TO BRUSSELS

Nestled in the heart of Saint-Gilles — one of Brussels' most vibrant and sought-after neighbourhoods — the flat puts everything you need right at your doorstep. Public transport, independent shops, great restaurants, a climbing gym, the biggest train station Gare du Midi and a buzzing street life are all within easy reach. And if you're into culture, you're in luck: we're just 50 metres from La Tricoterie, a cultural venue.

Inside, you'll find a thoughtfully furnished home with comfortable common areas where you can unwind or share a meal. It's the kind of place that feels like home from day one.

The exact address is shared privately once we're in touch — just reach out and we'll take it from there.

Come and taste those Brussels sprouts.

Are they as bad as they say?..

The Flat

Set across three floors of a classic Brussels house maison bruxelloise, the flat has everything you need in a layout that gives each person their own space.

The first floor is your social hub — a shared fully equiped kitchen, living room, and a balcony to enjoy when the weather plays along. The second floor is yours: three private rooms, a bathroom with a washing machine, and a separate toilet, all shared between the three tenants. The last floor is where I live, so I'm close by if you need anything, and well out of your hair day to day.

There's also a private basement with a key lock — perfect for bikes, suitcases, or anything you don't need every day.

Rooms are ready.
Just bring a towel!

Each room is fully furnished and ready for you to move in without any hassle — just bring a towel!

Every room comes with a double bed dressed with a duvet and 2 pillows, plus 2 sets of bed sheets so you're all set from day one. You'll also find a wardrobe with hangers, a desk and chair for when you need to focus, and a cosy chair to kick back in after a long day. For the right ambiance, each room has both a desk lamp and a warm atmosphere lamp. The practical bits are covered too — a trash bin, drying racks, a laundry bag and shelves just waiting for your books, plants, or favourite paintings to make the space truly yours. The rooms are prepared in a way so you can simply move in and start living — no furniture runs, no stress, no fuss.

The Bamboo room features a bed that converts from single to double, so you can choose the setup that suits you best.

No surprises — your monthly rent covers everything:

  • Professional cleaning of your room & common spaces — every two weeks

  • Electricity, heating & water — softened and filtered for better taste and quality

  • WiFi

  • Cleaning and household products — dishwasher tabs, dish soap, paper towels

  • Brussels city trash bags

Just move in and make yourself at home.

The only thing you'll need to arrange yourself is a tenant's fire insurance — a legal requirement for all renters in Belgium. Easy to sort through your bank or any insurance company.

About me

I am a woman, 37-year-old, medical doctor and loving to share dinners and some time together with flatmates at home, all while allowing everyone to have their privacy and living their lives. I love mountains, street art, going out, reading books, drum'n'bass, lindy hop and dancing in general. I have lived in cohousing for years before acquiring this flat and I immediately knew: I wanted to create a coliving space myself.

As the owner and resident of the flat, I'm here if you ever need anything, and I also respect your privacy and independence. This is a home shared by working adults and expats who appreciate a calm, friendly atmosphere. If you're looking for a welcoming place to land in a new city, you're in the right spot.

I speak English and French.
